School Procedures


Visitors' Policy:

For the safety of our students andstaff, please be aware that the doors to our building are locked at alltimes, during regular school hours. If you visit our school, you mayonly enter through the doors adjacent to the school garage. Please ringthe bell, and you will be buzzed in. We utilize a Video MonitoringSystem, which is operated from the main office. When you do enter thebuilding, please go directly to the main office, and sign in. If youwill be remaining in the building, you must wear a visitor's badge,which will be provided to you. Please know that staff members have beeninstructed to question any person who walks through our halls, without abadge. Once again, this policy is strictly enforced, for the safety ofyour children, and your cooperation in this matter is greatlyappreciated!


Please remember that our schoolay begins promptly at 8:55 AM, and concluded at 3:25 PM. All studentswill be dismissed from the gym, and will exit via the doors near theflagpole. Kindergarten and first grade students must be met by an adult,or an older sibling, and may not leave the flagpole area, unattended.Parents may park in the main lot, and then meet their children. Parentsof older children may wait near the blue benches and school sign, ormeet their students in the upper playground areas.

Please do not park cars in the bus pick-up zone.

Students may not arrive at school prior to 8:40 AM, due to a lack of supervision. Parents,please do not walk with your children to the classrooms, as our staffmembers will supervise students' entry in to the building andclassrooms. If you do need to speak with someone in the mainoffice/nurse's office, please enter the building through the mainentrance, adjacent to the garage.


Regular attendance is a veryimportant factor in student success. Students should make every effortto attend school, on a regular basis. It is very important to arrive ontime each day, as well, and to stay for the entire day. Parents,whenever possible, please do not schedule doctor's appointments or othercommitments that might require a child to leave early. In the eventthat you must remove your child earlier than 3:15 PM, please do send anote to the child's teacher ahead of time, and/or call the main office.When you come to pick up your child early, you will need to proceed tothe main office, and sign out your child.

  • Please walk with your child to the office, to sign in, if you should arrive past 8:55 AM.

If you deliver your child's lunchto school, you must write his/her name on the bag, and bring it to themain office, for pick-up by your child.


  • Students are expected to show respect to their teachers, aides, and each other, at all times.
  • Bullying and teasing are never acceptable!
  • Students will treat our building with respect as well, and will make every effort to keep it clean!
  • Students may not bring toys, IPOD;s Gameboys, cards, etc. to school, without permission from a teacher.
  • Students may not wear flip-flops to school.
  • "Heelies" type sneakers are prohibited at all times!
