As we wind down the school year, we want to let you know how super proud we are of our
amazing, hard working students. Each and every student has improved and matured in their own unique way. It gives us great joy to be able to watch this process and help mold your precious children’s lives as best we can as educators at Troy Hills School. It is always fun to see the growth in each student, academically as well as physically, from September to June.

We encourage each and every student to read silently, aloud or with a partner as much as possible during their time off. This will ensure that they not only maintain the reading level that they are at now, but it will also reinforce the skills that we worked on throughout the school year. Keeping a journal and recording journal entries throughout the summer to practice writing is also a great way to stay on top of things and keep sharp so when September comes your child is ready to go! The more children write, the better writers they will become. It is always beneficial to practice math facts, which will vary depending on their grade level. You can do this by using flashcards or by using online math websites such as,, or our own Think Central site. You can always reach out to us over the summer and we will help you find the individual resources you need. Have a wonderful and safe summer. We will be thinking about our students and look forward to seeing

them back in September!
